Marsden Preservation Ltd is an established preservation company and have grown to become one of the largest independent specialists in the North of England. Last year we dealt with over 1,800 enquiries, of which 90% were recommendations by previous customers. This we believe speaks for itself. Our list of clients is impressive ranging from major housing associations, local authorities and government bodies right through to individual home owners. Our name has become synonymous with reliability.
Neil Marsden formed Marsden Preservation in 1985 and for 7 years operated as a sole trader. In 1992 Jim Millar became a partner having spent 6 years at the company as Neil's first employee. The partnership continued until 1998 when the company became incorporated becoming a limited company. The company has expanded year on year since its formation.
In 2003 all surveyors with Marsden Preservation achieved CSRT (Certified Surveyor in Remedial Treatment) qualification, which is the nationally recognised qualification for remedial surveyors. In 2003 Neil Marsden sat and passed all modules over 2 consecutive days achieving credits in all modules, an achievement recognised by the chief examiner as a 1st in the history of the CSRT examination. Following the success of the company's surveyors in achieving full qualification PCA (Property Care Association) - formerly BWPDA - membership followed. In 2004, Neil was elected on the management committee of the PCA.
In 2009, Neil once again passed examinations with flying colours, this time the CSSW (Certified Surveyor in Structural Waterproofing) as well as being named candidate of the year.
